The Secretarys of these Breed Clubs have their finger very much on the pulse in all their Breed matters/concerns and are aware of those members who are breeding from healthy good tempered and true to type dogs/bitches, so will be the very best 1st point of contact for anyone needing breed advice. Which is the same advice i would give to whatever breed

anyone is thinking of taking on. Please ,please contact your Breed Club secretary.

In my own breed (Border terriers) we are inundated with people who have little or no involvement in our breed (other than churning out puppies) who are breeding from untypical in type and temperament and more sadly unhealthy Border terriers , which is adding to the HUGE volume of Border terriers coming into our Breed Welfare system.
The Sad fact is that we have had a total of 70 Border terriers coming into Breed Welfare

from the month of January 2009 to date May 2009
so you will really be helping your chosen breed by buying from the right source!
